Anti-Fentanyl Group Makes Its Case With Chicago Campaign

Gazan War protesters aren’t the only groups trying to make a point in Chicago this week while the Democrats are town.

Families Against Fentanyl has launched a new ad campaign in the Windy City to draw attention to the growing epidemic of illicit fentanyl use.

The group’s research of Center For Disease Control data shows that illicit fentanyl and synthetic opioids were involved in approximately 75,000 deaths last year. That figure has doubled in just four years.

The campaign is running on more than 60 billboards throughout Chicago, and FAF expects it will be seen 900,000 times over the course of the week. The billboards feature stark red lettering on a black background with the message “Fentanyl is a Weapon of Mass Destruction.” There’s also a video.

The group ran a similar campaign during the Republican convention in Milwaukee last month.

FAF Founder Jim Rauh said, “Fentanyl poisoning is the number one killer of Americans 18-45. We are losing 200 people a day to this poison – that’s a death every 7 minutes...Enough is enough, we need leaders of both political parties to prioritize stopping the poisoning of the American people."

The sad thing is Fentanyl is here to stay since there is demand for it, the only thing is you can get a distributor and take them down but there are 10 or thousands of them.
