Looking to gain more scale for its business, Apple TV+ has cut a
deal to be part of Amazon Prime Video in the U.S. as a separate add-on channel, with a cost of $9.99 a month.
Apple TV+ joins other premium streamers that exist as separate add-on channels on the Prime Video platform -- Max, Paramount+, AMC+, and Starz.
Prime Video has over 100 streaming subscriptions for sale.
Prime Video users can watch Apple TV+ content within the Prime Video app.
“We want to make Apple TV+ and its award-winning library of series and films from the world’s greatest storytellers available to as many viewers as possible,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of services, in a statement.

Access to many more streaming subscribers was the key for Apple.
Third-party estimates for Apple TV+ place it at roughly around 25 million U.S. subscribers. Industry projections are that Prime Video has around 100 million to 150 million members.
In addition to its entertainment and sports programming and access to streaming subscriptions, Prime Video also has what it says is the industry’s largest catalog of titles to rent or buy.
