Cramer-Krasselt Wins Media, Social Duties For MOD Pizza

Seattle, WA-based MOD Pizza has appointed Cramer-Krasselt as its media and social agency after a formal review.

It was not immediately clear what other agencies participated in the review or what agencies the client was previously working with on the remit.

Annual measured media spending is estimated at $5 million, according to agency research firm COMvergence.

The chain had been struggling in recent quarters and in July was acquired by Elite Restaurant Group, which is reportedly known for acquiring restaurant chains in financial straits.

At the time of the acquisition, MOD had closed more than 40 locations year-to-date, according to USA Today, which also reported that the chain currently operates in about 490 locations.

The award is one of several recent wins for Chicago-based C-K. In September it confirmed winning an account from retail tire chain Belle Tire, based in Southfield, MI. That remit includes media, creative and analytics.

Other recent wins for the agency include construction equipment manufacturer Komatsu and healthcare network Emplify Health.
