Many of us need a little liquid courage to deal with the family during the holidays -- or maybe more than a little. So Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey is inviting consumers to “Give Thanks and Get Basted”-- instead of wasted -- this year.
The brand released a new campaign this week featuring the rapper (with a name fitting the season’s mandatory condiment) Yung Gravy, who appears in online videos on the brand’s Instagram, seen here. In the first, we see Yung Gravy relaxing with a traditional turkey dinner (although the turkey is stuffed with airplane size bottles of Skrewball). A bottle of Skrewball is brough to him on a silver tray as he says “It’s time to let the festivities begin. It’s time to get basted!” He then proceeds to fill a Skrewball branded turkey baster and gets to work, bathing the bird (and himself) in the peanut butter liquor. He closes the video with “Let’s give thanks and get basted with Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey. And always, baste responsibly.”

"We're always looking for new ways to engage with our consumers and mess with the norm,” said Skrewball Whiskey Senior Brand Manager, Gary Feeney in a release. “Partnering with Yung Gravy for the Baster Set introduces an unexpected new drinking experience for people and a fresh perspective on how to celebrate the holiday. “
The Skrewball branded basters are actually designed for 50ml shots, with the “bulb” shaped like Skrewball’s sheep logo. They are available in a set of seven with a wooden baster holder and accompanied by a gravy boat, making filling the shot basters at the dinner table easy, for $11.28 on Basted.SkrewballWhiskey.com. All proceeds from sale of basters will be donated to the Southern Smoke Foundation, a nonprofit that supports food and beverage workers.
