WongDoody Taps Monks' Davis To Lead U.S. Operations

Ad agency Wongdoody has appointed Laura Davis to the new role of managing director, US.   

Davis joins from Monks, part of S4 Capital, where she was global chief client officer, to run WongDoody’s US operations and is charged with setting a new vision for the agency and redefining how it works with brand partners. In addition, Davis will seek out new business opportunities with clients.

Separately, the agency has named Christian Gölz, as global head of immersive experiences and Mariel Cunningham as vice president, new business. Davis and Gölz report to WongDoody global CEO Skyler Mattson and Cunningham is part of Davis’ US team.   

Gölz’s new appointment marks an expanded global remit for him, as he originally joined the company after the agency he co-founded, Oddity was acquired and integrated into WongDoody EMEA.    

Cunningham most recently led growth at Optimist, an independent global creative agency, and is now making a return to WongDoody. 

WongDoody was founded in 1993 in Seattle and acquired by India’s IT services firm Infosys in 2018.
