Quad/Graphics Names Havas' Maleeny Chief Client Strategy/Integration Officer

 

Quad/Graphics has appointed agency veteran Tim Maleeny chief client strategy and integration officer. Maleeny joins from Havas North America, where he served as president, chief strategy and innovation officer. 

He will lead Quad’s efforts to add new clients and expand the remits of existing ones. Maleeny will be part of Quad’s leadership team, led by chairman, president and CEO Joel Quadracci.

Prior to Havas, Maleeny held a variety of agency and consultancy leadership roles, including head of strategy for Ogilvy North America, executive director of brand strategy at R/GA, and Managing Partner at Deloitte. He also spent almost a decade at creative shop Hal Riney & Partners, leading strategy and new business before the agency was sold to Publicis. 

Quad, based in Sussex, WI is billed as a “marketing experience company” that offers campaign measurement, research, and testing services to help brands optimize their marketing strategies. Quad employs approximately 13,000 people in 14 countries and serves approximately 2,700 clients. 

In 2019 the firm bought Minneapolis-based agency Periscope for $132.5 million. The agency and several other Quad-owned creative entities were folded under the newly branded Betty group earlier this year. Quad also owns media agency Rise and is one of the largest commercial printers in North America.
