Hakuhodo, one of Japan's leading ad agencies, and Omnicom's TBWA Worldwide unit, Wednesday announced plans for a new joint venture company in Japan, TBWAHAKUHODO. The venture will combine the existing
agencies of TBWATOKYO (40 percent) and HAKUHODOG1 (60 percent), the Hakuhodo subsidiary servicing Nissan. The move comes weeks after Paris-based Publicis Groupe restructured its joint venture with
another big Japanese ad group, Dentsu.
