Krispy Kreme Promotes Nicola Steele To COO

 

Krispy Kreme kicked off 2025 with an executive shuffle, announcing several changes to its global leadership team.

Nicola Steele, currently serving as president of Krispy Kreme Australia & New Zealand, will rise to the position of global COO, effective Mar. 3. Steele has been with Krispy Kreme over 15 years since joining the company while at university. In her new role she will head global operations, including “modernizing doughnut production and maximizing hub-and-spoke efficiency,” per the announcement.

Dave Skena, previously Krispy Kreme’s executive vice president, global brand officer, has been promoted to chief growth officer. In the new role he will head retail shop omn-channel growth and digital sales channels worldwide, in addition to managing global marketing efforts. Skena has been with Krispy Kreme since 2018, previously serving as CMO at Ruby Tuesday from 2015 through 2018.

Raphael Duvivier has been named president of international after working as the chain’s chief development officer since 2023. He heads both international and market development segments including in Europe and Latin America.

Alison Holder has been named global chief product officer, responsible for new product development as well as sourcing and quality. She most recently served as the chain’s vice president, innovation and insights and has been at the company more than 25 years. 

“These leaders all have extensive company experience, commitment to operational excellence and passion for our doughnuts and brand,” said Josh Charlesworth, Krispy Kreme CEO. “As we grow, these leadership changes will result in both a bigger and better Krispy Kreme.”

All executives will report to Charlesworth. In Nov. 2024 the chain reported a net revenue of $379.9 million, with organic revenue growing 3.5% YOY to $376.4 million from its over 15,500 points of access (including both stand-alone stores and third-party sellers).
