Sirius Satellite radio announced Monday that its subscriber list had passed four million, another piece of good news for the company coming on the heels of a large increase in subscribers during
fourth quarter 2005 in anticipation of radio shock jock Howard Stern's move to Sirius in January 2006. Sirius' main competitor, XM, boasts six million subscribers, but Sirius has been adding
subscribers at a faster rate than XM. Both satellite radio companies posted major losses for 2005 as they battled each other for new subscriptions.
