It’s the NBA Finals, and brands are here
for it, including Buffalo Wild Wings, Wendy’s and Skechers (indirectly, thanks to none other than Martha Stewart.)
First up is Buffalo Wild Wings, which is taking some heat
for offering condolences to a fan who ran on the court to take a selfie with San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama.
"Internet, help us find the banned fan. He can watch the
rest of the finals at B-Dubs on us," Buffalo Wild Wings wrote on social media.
The Internet was not amused.
“Apparently, making an ass of yourself
during the NBA Finals now comes with complimentary food,” according to the San Antonio Current.
“Buffalo Wild Wings is offering the fan who interrupted Game 1 of the Spurs-Knicks series free wings and a place to watch the rest of the Finals. But the chain’s publicity ploy is leaving
plenty of hoops fans with a bad taste in their mouths.”

Social media users are not amused, and neither is the NBA.
"So you wanna make this a trend!?" one
user wrote. "Commit a crime we will reward you here in Buffalo Wild Wings !! Trash.” "Holy L. Why would we reward this guy?" another said, according to TMZ Sports.
The NBA’s reaction was harsh, banning the juvenile
from NBA games for life.
Wembanyama, the player at the center of the attention (who actually looks bemused during the stunt) got some love from Wendy’s.
“The fast food chain, which is known for their witty banter on social media, quipped on Tuesday, May 19, that they want to salute ‘the Alien’ with a name change and are
considering a significant revamp of their menu to honor his French heritage,” according to
USA Today.
"Might change my name to Wemby’s and only serve French fries after last night’s game," Wendy's posted on X.
Finally, Martha Stewart’s gushing about Knicks’ starter OG Anunoby resulted in an
autographed pair of the forward’s Skechers.
“The two share more in common than just wanting the New York team to win the championship — they’re
both Skechers ambassadors, too,” according to WWD. “One
can see the right shoe reads ‘Let’s Go Knicks!’ while the left features the player’s signature. Anunoby officially signed a deal with Skechers in summer 2025, while Stewart has
been a partner with the brand since 2022.”
