MindShare's Goldstein Named AAAA Media Chair, Succeeds Jean Pool

  • April 19, 2006
The American Association of Advertising Agencies has tapped MindShare's Marc Goldstein as the new chair of its influential Media Policy Committee. Goldstein, President-CEO of MindShare North America, replaces Universal McCann's Jean Pool, who will retire from the agency at the end of the month.

Goldstein's appointment by the AAAAs is effective immediately. One of his responsibilities will be to preside over the trade group's annual media conference next year.

Pool created a stir at the event last month when she called on the networks to make Nielsen's newly formulated commercial ratings available to the buying community. Keeping the info under wraps, she said, gives the appearance of "trying to hide a dirty little secret." -- David Goetzl
