WebSideStory: Repeat Visitors More Likely To Convert

Visitors who have been to an e-commerce site in the past are eight times more likely to make a purchase at the site than are first-time visitors, according to new data by Web analytics firm WebSideStory. The data, aggregated from e-commerce sites that work with WebSideStory, revealed that repeat visitors had a conversion rate of 12.61 percent, compared to 1.55 percent for new visitors, in the first three months of the year.
