DirecTV Shifts Media Account To OMD

DirecTV announced Thursday that it had consolidated its account within Omnicom, naming OMD as its media shop and BBDO New York as its creative agency of record. The media responsibilities had been handled by MediaVest; the creative agency had been Deutsch in Los Angeles. Another Omnicom agency, Rapp Collins Worldwide, will continue as direct marketer. The account is worth about $100 million.
