Arbitron: Hispanics Listen To Radio More

  • June 28, 2006
Hispanic consumers tend to listen to radio more often than other groups, according to the results of a new study, Hispanic Radio Today 2006, released Tuesday by Arbitron. Overall, non-Hispanics listen to an average of 19 hours and 15 minutes of radio a week, while Hispanics listen to an average of 22 hours and 15 minutes. Not surprisingly, Spanish-language broadcasting is strongly represented, as indicated by a 34 percent increase in the number of Spanish-language stations over the last seven years.
