Radio Improves Marginally In May

Radio ad spending rose marginally in May due mainly from increased demand from local advertisers, the Radio Advertising Bureau reported late last week. Total radio ad spending rose 1 percent from May 2005, according to a survey of participating stations. That's an improvement from year-to-date results, which are down 1 percent from the first five months of 2005. National sales fell 1 percent in May and are flat year-to-date.
