A July 5 commentary in
MediaDailyNews entitled "Brandtique: 'Treasure Hunters,' Ask.com, Genworth" included the statement that "Ask.com's parent IAC also owns travel booking site Expedia." In
fact, IAC/InterActiveCorp spun off Expedia last August and the two companies operate independently. (IAC Chairman-CEO Barry Diller also serves as chairman of Expedia.)
