Nielsen Media Research named Karen Watson, a member of its Task Force on Television Measurement, as the new senior vice president of communications for NMR and VNU's media measurement and information
group. Most recently, Watson spent nine years as vice president of government relations for Echostar Satellite. Prior to Echostar, she was director of the office of public affairs for the FCC.
