AudioAudit, abroadcast advertising verification service, is expanding into the music industry through a partnership with UK-based Shazam, a mobile music recognition provider. Under terms of the
partnership agreement, AudioAudit will apply its analytic technology to non-featured and background music detections captured by Shazam in television commercials and television programs, as well as
other broadcast media in which music serves as a background enhancement. AudioAudit will provide an automated music management queue sheet report service for use by publishers, composers, and
performing rights organizations, which will significantly enhance their ability to track royalty payments of production and background music.
