Google will start charging for the use of its AdWords application programming interface, which some agencies rely on to manage paid search campaigns, Oct. 1. Google
first announced the plan to start charging earlier this year, and originally intended to
begin imposing fees over the summer. Last week, however, the search company said on a company blog that it would begin imposing charges next month--and asked API users to register before Sept. 15.
