L. Brent Bozell III is stepping down as president of the Parents Television Council on Jan. 1, the group announced Friday. PTC executive director Tim Winter will assume the presidency. Bozell founded
the group in 1995 and oversaw its growth to more than 1 million claimed members. Bozell said he did noot want to run both the PTC and the Media Research Center, a conservative media watchdog. Winter,
a former NBC and MGM executive, has been with the PTC since 2003.
