Abacus, a data and research provider to the direct marketing industry, and a division of DoubleClick, has formed Abacus Australia. Abacus Australia, which will be based in Sydney with an office in Melbourne, plans to provide Australian businesses with a new source of modeled data that can help improve their direct marketing initiatives.

Abacus Australia will offer Alliance members two well-known Abacus products: Acquisition Modeling and Retention Modeling. Acquisition Modeling enables members to find qualified prospects beyond their own house file list. Retention Modeling can help marketers to increase profits from their own house file list.
