Based on what ABC referred to as "fastie ratings" from Nielsen Media Research (which are lineup-based), the debut of Rosie O'Donnell on "The View" earned the daytime talker an above-average 4.2
million total viewers, with 1.3 million among women 18-49. That proved to be an increase over the 2005 telecast of 2.7 million viewers.
