CBS Sunday streamed the documentary "9/11" online, in addition to broadcasting it on TV, after a few affiliates balked at airing the show because of profanity by firefighters. Several affiliates
indicated they were concerned that the language might spark FCC fines. CBS isn't the only network to stream a potentially controversial program after concerns arose about broadcasting it. Earlier this
year, the WB Network streamed an unabridged version of "The Bedford Diaries" online, after company executives decided some scenes might subject the network to FCC fines.
