New York Daily News Axes Longtime VP, Classified Ads

Andrea Dove, the longtime vice president of classified ads for New York Daily News, was let go by the newspaper. Sources say she is contemplating an age-discrimination suit against Mort Zuckerman's circulation-challenged paper. In January, Editor in Chief Michael Cooke resigned after just nine months on the job, while Ira Ellenthal, executive vice president, was also given an unceremonious farewell in May. The Daily News also laid off edit staffers over the summer.
