YouTube Names Suzie Reider First CMO

Viral video Web site YouTube brought in Suzie Reider as its first chief marketing officer to help turn its user base into ad dollars. Reider comes from CNET, where she served as senior VP/general manager of entertainment. Reider is expected to pursue deals with marketers. Last week, for instance, Cingular Wireless agreed to sponsor a battle of the bands search, whose finalists will be featured on ABC's "Good Morning America." In August, YouTube drew 34 million unique visitors, according to ComScore Media Metrix.
