The Ad Council has tapped performance marketing firm Datran to run an e-mail public service announcement campaign warning consumers of the dangers of global warming. The campaign, which will launch
next week, is being sent to a list of users culled from the databases of several Datran clients who have agreed to share their lists with the Ad Council. Consumers on those companies' lists have
opted-in to receive public service announcements as well as marketing messages, said Datran's privacy officer, Quinn Jalli. Previously, Datran has run public service announcement e-mail campaigns for
Earth Day, America on the Move, and the Child Safety Network.
