Revenues at Time Warner Inc.'s television channels rose 5 percent to $2.2 billion in the first quarter, the company said Wednesday afternoon. Advertising revenues rose 12 percent in the quarter,
thanks to higher CPMs at Turner Networks and The WB, along with what Time Warner said was higher sell-out rates in Turner. Advertising revenues rose 14 percent at the Turner Networks and 6 percent
at The WB. At the publishing unit, ad revenues were flat in what Time Warner said was continued softness in the print advertising industry.
