Ford Motor Co.'s marketing executive behind the "Bold Moves" campaign, will join Group 1 Automotive, a major auto dealership chain, on Dec. 1. Martin Collins--the executive director of marketing for the Ford, Lincoln and Mercury brands--is the latest in a string of top-level departures at the struggling automaker. A Ford spokesman characterized his departure as a "reflection of what we are going through right now to reduce our salary-related costs." Collins, who joined Ford in 1985, will be southeast regional vice president at Group 1, which is run by former Ford sales and marketing chief Earl Hesterberg. Ford has been offering buyouts as part of a sweeping restructuring.
