Nokia has entered the Russian market, winning a major GSM/GPRS/EDGE network expansion contract from Russian company MegaFon, the first all-Russian mobile operator. Nokia will deliver both radio and
core equipment, as well as a range of services. The value of the agreement is more than EUR 320 million. Equipment deliveries have already begun.
