Golden Corral Ties New Campaign To Family Meals

Golden Corral, the leading national chain of buffet-style family restaurants, launched a new $1.3 million campaign this week targeting value-oriented families using the tagline "Everyone deserves a good meal." The campaign, featuring three 30-second TV spots from The Richards Group, Dallas, is scheduled to run until year's end.

"Our new campaign draws upon the emotional aspects of families sitting down and enjoying a meal together, which is becoming more rare--budgets, working parents and over-scheduled kids make the simple act of dinner more challenging," says Monte Jump, vice president of marketing for Golden Corral. "Our restaurants are designed to help families overcome these obstacles, by being convenient, approachable and a great value."

The campaign takes a bygone-era approach. One spot opens to a large dinner table filled with an abundance of food where a King and his family have gathered to enjoy a 15th-century feast.
