Kraft, Pepsi In High Global Repute

  • January 10, 2007
When it comes to the reputations of American food companies, only Kraft and Pepsi appear to make the global grade, according to the latest annual ranking of corporate reputations by the Reputation Institute.

For the first time since it began annually ranking corporations in 1999, the institute surveyed people around the world and not just Americans.

Kraft squeaked into the Top 10 at No. 10 while Pepsi made the Top 25, at No. 23. Italy's Barilla was No. 1 and that country's Ferrero came in at No. 8. Other food companies in the Top 50: Canada's McCain Foods, No. 28; Mexico's Grupo Bimbo, No. 30; Spain's Grupo Leche Pascual SA, No. 37; and Spain's Ebro Puleva SA, No. 46.

The Reputation Institute is a New York consulting firm.
