Dial A 'Rant': Dennis Miller To Debut Talk Radio Show

Five-time Emmy-winning comedian Dennis Miller, who is a seasoned talk-show host on cable, will now try the format in radio.

Westwood One plans to launch "The Dennis Miller Show," a daily three-hour show in March in major markets. It will include Miller's commentaries, called his "rants", as well as interviews with high-profile guests and calls from listeners.

The company did not reveal the actual number of radio stations that would carry his show, which is Miller's first foray into radio.

Miller previously hosted shows on HBO and CNBC, and was a commentator for ABC's "Monday Night Football." He got his big start as the former Weekend Update anchor on television's "Saturday Night Live."

Bart Tessler, senior vice president of programming at Westwood One, says the timing is right for Miller's move to radio, calling him a perfect fit for "traditional topical talk stations as well as the rapidly growing FM talk format."
