AARP Segunda Juventud Boosts Circ

  • April 7, 2004
AARP Segunda Juventud ("Second Youth") has bumped its circulation from 400,000 to 600,000, the mag announced Wednesday. With the increase, it becomes the second-largest regularly published Hispanic publication in the U.S. "The audience for Hispanic media continues to grow - and the Hispanic membership of AARP continues to increase - and it shows no signs of slowing down," said AARP Publications group publisher Jim Fishman in a press release.

AARP Segunda Juventud, a quarterly, bilingual publication created specifically for Hispanics aged 50 and older, debuted in 2001. Initially sent to Hispanic AARP members in New York, California, Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico, the magazine's circulation doubled in 2003 as AARP expanded its outreach to older Hispanics across the country.
