Harold Geller, a former top media technology executive at MindShare, Ogilvy & Mather, and McCann Erickson, has joined the American Association of Advertising Agencies as senior vice president-digital
initiatives. Geller, who most recently was vice president, eBusiness solutions for Verance's now defunct ConfirMedia unit, will be responsible for all of the AAAA's digital initiatives, including
promotion and sales of Ad-ID, a joint venture with the Association of National Advertisers that has been marketing an industry standard digital identification system for advertising across all media
platforms. Geller's hire also coincides with a push for greater "eBiz" solutions by both the AAAA and the ANA to reduce manpower and paperwork associated with buying and selling media.
