The tabloid-like saga between former marketing star Julie Roehm and Wal-Mart has entered another chapter with Roehm filing a breach of contract suit against her former employer. News of the suit,
which was first reported late Wednesday by
Advertising Age, began circulating Wednesday when Roehm spoke at a Reuters event in New York. The suit, which was filed in Michigan but has been
transferred to federal court, claims Wal-Mart did not fulfill Roehm's compensation agreement including a base salary of $325,000, a signing bonus of $250,000, and other incentives worth up to
$300,000.
