comScore: 10% Watch Super Bowl Ads Online

One in 10 of the people who went online yesterday likely did so to view sites of Super Bowl marketers, according to a recent comScore study. The report, based on a pre-game survey, also found that 11% of those who intended to go online Sunday would do so specifically to view the Super Bowl ads. Those figures, however, are slightly smaller than the proportion of people who anticipated going online for other reasons: 15% said they planned to go to the Web to monitor Super Bowl news, and 13% intended to look for recipes or other party ideas.
