Homestore Picks Overture as Search Provider

Homestore Inc. and Overture Services, Inc. yesterday announced an agreement under which Overture will serve as the exclusive paid search provider for non-real estate content within Homestore's network of home and real estate websites. In addition, Homestore will be implementing Content Match, Overture's contextual advertising product, which embeds relevant results on content-based pages. As part of the agreement, Homestore will be adding custom search boxes in the navigation areas of certain of its real estate related Web pages. Based on consumer defined search terms, non-real estate paid search results will be listed under the heading "Sponsored Results." Additionally, Overture's Content Match capability will incorporate search results into contextually relevant locations throughout Homestore's network of Web sites. Homestore's online network is the largest family of websites devoted exclusively to home, moving and real estate-related information.
