Diversion Media today launched Snowvision, a broadband video site aimed at snowboarding enthusiasts that includes coverage of snowboarding competitions and updated information on weather and resorts.
Snowvision is the second property unveiled by Diversion since travel site Travelistic debuted in October. Started by former MTV Interactive executive Nicholas Butterworth, Diversion plans to develop a
total of 25 niche video sites by 2010. For now, Snowvision is carrying only AdSense text ads, but the site plans to add display ads and sponsorships later in the year. The site will offer video of
events including the California On-Snow Demo at Mammoth Mountain and the Grenade Strikes Back Tour.
