NBC tapped an online video technology company named vMix to launch a Web channel featuring promotional video clips of shows like "Heroes" and "30 Rock". The deal comes amid continued wrangling
between NBC and Google's YouTube over an as-yet-unsigned video distribution deal.
NBC does, however, have a rudimentary promotional deal with YouTube in place. vMix recently signed a deal with
Tribune Co.'s interactive division to offer its tools to Tribune's 50 newspaper sites, including LATimes.com and Newsday.com. -- Gavin O'Malley
