Monster, the global online careers and recruitment resource and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc. has named Joan Blackwood to the position of CEO for North America.

Blackwood will lead all aspects of Monster's overall marketing strategy.

She has more than 20 years of experience in strategic marketing, advertising and communications. Most recently, she served as senior vice president/worldwide marketing at CA, formerly known as Computer Associates, where she ran the global marketing organization.

Prior to joining CA, Blackwood served as senior vice president/director of strategic marketing for Bank of America, where her duties included running the marketing for the brokerage subsidiary.
