John Nugent, former managing director of EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) at Double Click Email Solutions, has joined Responsys as vice president and general manager of EMEA, where he will be responsible for growing the firm's European operations in on-demand email and marketing automation solutions.

Responsys' EMEA clients include Avis Europe plc, Deutsche Lufthansa, Land's End and Which? Limited. The company said its annual revenue growth in the region is exceeding 50%.

Nugent, a 13-year veteran of the interactive and email marketing industries, is a member of the DMA Marketing Council.
