ISIPP Pens Book On Understanding CAN-SPAM

  • January 19, 2004
The Institute for Spam and Internet Public Policy (ISIPP), a San Francisco-based consultancy, has published "CAN-SPAM and You: Emailing Under the Law." The eBook, written by ISIPP president and chief executive officer Anne Mitchell, is designed to help online marketers comply with the new Federal anti-spam law.

"The CAN-SPAM law only came into effect 19 days ago, and already there is so much misinformation out there that it's scary", Mitchell said in a press release. "For example, many people have been told that if you accept advertising in an email newsletter that you publish, your advertisers must have a direct relationship with each of your subscribers - not true!"

The eBook can be purchased at the ISIPP web site (http://www.isipp.com). The group is also offering companion subscriptions to its online "Spam Law and Policies" updates.
