Calif. Board Promotes Bumper Crop Of Bing Cherries

The California Cherry Advisory Board is promoting what it says is a bumper crop of Bing cherries this spring.

California growers are expecting to produce about five million boxes of Bing cherries--about twice what has been harvested during the past two seasons, the board said in a press release. California Bing cherries are in stores now, and will peak over the Memorial Day weekend holiday.
