Bill Mastellon, a former CFO for Optimedia and its antecedent, DeWitt Media, has been hired by independent shop KSL Media, along with Tarun Chachra, who is joining the agency from Publicis Worldwide, where he was vice president, IT director.

Mastellon will serve as senior vice president, chief financial officer, and Chachra has joined as vice president, chief technology officer.

Most recently, Mastellon was president of U.S. operations for New York-based ad consultant Firm Decisions. Earlier in his career, he worked on the client side, for CPC International and General Foods. Prior to his tenure with Publicis, Chachra was MIS director at DeWitt Media.

The hiring moves come as a result of several new business wins for KSL. This summer, the company was selected by Fuse Networks and Callaway, and was retained by Bacardi USA, in accounts totaling more than $150 million.
