CKE Sues Jack In The Box Over Burger Ads

CKE Restaurants Inc., parent of the Carl's Jr. and Hardee's fast-food chains, sued rival Jack In The Box Inc. on Friday over new commercials it says mislead customers into thinking CKE's hamburger meat comes from a cow's hindquarters.

The ads promoting Jack in the Box's new line of sirloin burgers take aim at Angus beef, which CKE, McDonald's and Burger King use in their fanciest burgers.
