KFC Gives Aspiring Musicians A Chance At Stardom

  • June 4, 2007
KFC is launching a Pride 360 theme song contest during June for Black Music Month wherein aspiring artists and musicians get a chance to win a recording op worth $5,000 and an appearance on BET's "Rap City."

"During Black Music Month and through Pride 360, KFC celebrates the positive ways African-American music has contributed to and shaped American society," said James O'Reilly, CMO for KFC.

Artists may upload their audio submissions (and artist/musician photo) at kfc.com/pride360. Six finalists will be selected on July 13 and online voting will begin July 20. Between July 20 and Aug. 10, visitors to kfc.com will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite version of the Pride 360 theme song, and the winner will be named the "KFC Hitmaker."

The contest winner isn't the only one who comes out on top. One online voter will be randomly selected to win 360 $1 KFC gift checks.
