Adelphia's Rigases Sentenced To Prison

A federal judge on Wednesday said time was up for Adelphia cable TV company founder John Rigas and his son, Timothy J. Rigas. He ordered both to prison on Aug. 13, nearly three years after receiving convictions for one of the largest corporate frauds in U.S. history. The father, John, got 15 years; the son, 20. Once the fifth-largest cable company, Adelphia's assets are now owned by Comcast Corp. and Time Warner Cable.
