Viewers Barely Noticed, But Viacom Nets Apologize Over Super Bowl Halftime Exposure

Viacom networks CBS and MTV Sunday issued a statements apologizing to viewers, after performer Justin Timberlake tore off part of Janet Jackson's top, exposing her breast during the Super Bowl halftime show. CBS said it "deeply regrets the incident," which happened on live TV. MTV said the "tearing of Janet Jackson's costume was unrehearsed, unplanned, completely unintentional and was inconsistent with assurances we had about the content of the performance."
