Senate Expected To OK New Indecency Legislation

The Senate and the courts may do battle over indecency again. A Senate committee is expected to support legislation that would allow the FCC to enforce a nearly zero-tolerance policy on the broadcast of expletives. The U.S. 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals struck down the practice last month. If the legislation is passed, broadcasters expect renewed legal battles.
