Ford has announced pricing for its in-car communications and entertainment system developed with Microsoft. Ford Sync--a voice-activated system that links to Bluetooth-enabled phones and digital
players--will be available in 12 Lincoln, Ford and Mercury vehicles this fall for $395, per Ford. The company will roll the product out in all of its vehicles within two years.
The Sync
technology essentially lets consumers use digital media players like Microsoft Zune, or MP3 players mobile phones, iPods, etc. via voice commands, steering wheel or radio controls.
